PM Modi to Launch Two Vande Bharat Trains in Kashmir, Marking Historic Valley Connectivity

In a landmark move for Jammu and Kashmir, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate two Vande Bharat trains, ushering in a new chapter of high-speed rail connectivity in the valley. The launch, scheduled for later this week, is expected to enhance tourism and economic growth, fulfilling a long-standing aspiration for the region.

In some good news for the people living in the Kashmir Valley, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will soon flag off two Vande Bharat Trains. The move will open new doors for tourism industry and economic growth. It will also attract a lot of tourists from other parts of the country which will generate more revenue and open the doors of employment.

Local Villagers express joy
A resident of Bakkal village near the bridge said, This bridge is in our area. PM Modi will inaugurate this bridge on April 19. We are very happy; everyone in the village is very happy. The construction of this bridge has created a lot of employment opportunities, and we will get employment opportunities even after the inauguration. On April 10, Dilip Kumar, Executive Director (Information and Publicity) of the Railway Board explained the importance of the 272 km long USBRL project which also includes a 119 km long tunnel.

Boosting connectivity, tourism and religious importance
Speaking media, Kumar said that the project is expected to boost connectivity, tourism and religious importance in the Kashmir region. Kumar said, "It has been the dream of every Indian to run a train to Kashmir. For this, we have made long preparations and now the USBRL section is ready. This 272 km long section has a 119 km long tunnel. This entire area is very important in terms of religious, tourism and connectivity of Kashmir."

Two Vande Bharat trains will run on the inauguration day
He further said that on the day of its inauguration, two Vande Bharat Express trains will run, one from Srinagar and the other from Katra to Srinagar. The Executive Director of Railway Board said that on the date of launch of the project, we have planned to run two Vande Bharat Express trains. One Vande Bharat Express train will run from Srinagar and the other will run from Katra to Srinagar.
